Edward Salib

Director

A Director at Studio.SC, Edward Salib brings his expertise and knowledge of local and international projects to the firm. His experience covers a wide spectrum of typologies from boutique student accommodation, hotel foyers and public art project to University campus master planning, city precinct planning and design, and high rise apartments. Since joining the business, Edward has made a vast contribution to the civic, residential, urban design and planning, hospitality, transport and commercial sectors.

Edward’s early career was focused on the civic and public sectors and their contribution to the placemaking of our towns and cities. Today, he is incredibly ambitious and motivated with a strong appetite to push through boundaries. His fascination with the civic and public sectors continues - he sees civic buildings as anchors, which draw people in, giving rise to the surrounding public domain and built form, requiring a deeper architectural response than merely serving a function.

Edward’s strong leadership skills have enabled him to manage teams of all sizes, which he balances with also managing multiple projects at one time. His personal philosophy is to tackle each project as ‘a series of problems which always have multiple solutions.’ His solutions are focused on producing a holistic design which benefits all stakeholders with an emphasis on urban impact and community benefits.
