Thomas Hansen

Co-Managing Director

Thomas is the Co-Managing Director at Studio.SC, where he oversees the strategic vision and direction of the practice and leads the end-to-end design of projects across all studio sectors.

As a multi-sector design architect, he uses creative thinking and out-of-the-box ideas to achieve conceptual clarity and exceptional architecture, capturing his 'dynamic discipline' design philosophy.

A clear and succinct communicator, Thomas applies both lateral and systematic design thinking to understand and resolve problems. This approach enables him to connect both big picture and detailed thinking, unlocking project opportunities, delivering real value to clients, and enriching communities through design.

Thomas's design talents are complemented by a sound understanding of business, innovation, and strategy. In addition to his Master of Architecture, he holds a Master of Business Administration (Executive) from AGSM at the UNSW Business School.

His recent notable works include the global award-winning Tonsley Tafe Campus, Mona Vale Surf Life Saving Club, Rozelle Village (former Balmain Leagues Club), Ross Smith Hotel Precinct, and Design Excellence competition-winning schemes for 2 Sorrell Street and 197 Church Street Parramatta.
